Today Is My Birthday
"Today is my birthday.
On this special day, I would like to share something with you that means a great deal to me.
In previous years, my birthdays were always filled with celebrations, cake, gifts, and joyful moments. But this year, I decided to look at life differently and celebrate in a different way.
Special Guests
This year, I wanted to spend my birthday with some very special guests—children who may be small in age but have incredibly big hearts. Children who work on the streets and, despite their young age, carry the heavy burden of life on their shoulders.
While they deserve the right to play, learn, and live in peace, many of them are deprived of these basic rights. That is why I chose to share my birthday with them this year.
Sharing the Ordinary Moments
One thing that felt especially meaningful to me is that we often experience certain things so many times that they become ordinary. Yet perhaps those ordinary moments could mean the world to someone else—someone whose dream is simply to experience those same moments, whether they seem small or great.
Instead of Receiving Gifts
Instead of receiving gifts, I tried to give one. Within my means, I wanted to create a different kind of day for these children. They chose their own clothes, visited an amusement park, laughed, and, for a little while, simply experienced what it feels like to be a child.
They even blew out the candles on my birthday cake with smiles on their faces and celebrated alongside me. Although we were physically far apart, our hearts felt close. They warmly wished me a happy birthday from afar, and their presence made this day even more beautiful for me.
The Greatest Gift I Received
This year, I also received thoughtful gifts from my family, relatives, and friends, and I am deeply grateful for their love and kindness. But above all, the greatest gift I received was this—that I was able to create a meaningful memory for myself and give that memory to myself as my own birthday gift.
My Wish for Every Child
My wish is that no child should ever have to work under such difficult circumstances, and that every child can grow up surrounded by peace, play, education, and happiness.

This was never meant to be an act of showing off or seeking attention. It is simply a sincere and human experience that I wanted to share with you."
